GameRecord Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines explain what is expected when participating on gamerecord. They work together with the Terms and Conditions.

Our goal is a community where people can share game opinions and lists safely, honestly, and respectfully.

1. Core Principles

• Be respectful.
• Be authentic.
• Contribute in good faith.
• Keep the community useful for game tracking and discussion.

2. Respect and Safety

Do not post or engage in:

• Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or stalking
• Hate speech or dehumanizing content
• Content encouraging violence or self-harm
• Repeated targeted abuse in comments, reviews, lists, tier lists, profile interactions, or other community spaces

3. Authenticity and Integrity

You must not:

• Impersonate individuals, brands, or staff
• Use fake accounts for deception or manipulation
• Coordinate brigading or mass-action attacks
• Artificially inflate likes, follows, comments, or ratings

4. Rating and Review Fairness

To keep ratings meaningful:

• You may rate a game only if its status is played or playing.
• You may not submit ratings for games that are only playlist.
• Attempts to game ranking signals or evade this rule are prohibited.

Reviews and comments should reflect genuine user experience and should not be spam or promotional abuse.

5. Content Rules

These rules apply to reviews, comments, list titles/descriptions, tier lists, usernames, profile bios, profile photos, banners, and similar user content.

The following are not allowed:

• Spam, repetitive promotions, scam links, phishing, or malware
• Illegal content
• Clear copyright infringement
• Sexually explicit, sexually exploitative, or gratuitously graphic/gory content
• Major story spoilers posted without a clear warning, especially in places likely to surprise other users
• Content created mainly to harass, shame, or target real people or groups, including abusive or non-game-related tier lists

Keep posts reasonably relevant to games and community discussion.

6. Privacy and Personal Information

Do not share private or sensitive personal data (your own or others') without clear consent. This includes real names, phone numbers, email addresses, home or work addresses, private photos, or other contact details.

Doxxing, threats to expose private information, and attempts to reveal another person's identity are prohibited.

7. Reporting and Blocking

If you see rule-breaking behavior:

• Use the in-app report buttons on reviews, comments, lists, tier lists, and profiles.
• Contact moderation@gamerecord.app for serious issues.
• Use blocking features to limit unwanted interactions.

False or malicious reporting is itself a violation.

8. Moderation Actions

Moderators may take actions including:

• Content removal
• Warning
• Temporary feature restrictions
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent account ban

Action severity depends on context, impact, and repeat behavior.

9. Appeals

• You can appeal moderation actions within 14 days.
• We aim to respond within 30 days.
• Send appeals to: moderation@gamerecord.app

10. Repeated or Severe Violations

Repeated abuse or severe violations may result in immediate permanent account removal and related content enforcement measures.

Creating new accounts to evade a restriction, suspension, or ban is prohibited.

11. Updates to Guidelines

These Guidelines may be updated to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or evolving safety needs. Continued use of gamerecord after updates means you accept the revised Guidelines.

12. Language

If translated versions are provided, they are for convenience only. In case of conflict, the English version governs.
